American Messaging offers pre-negotiated, government-based wireless services for Texas State Government Agencies under the DIR (Department of Information Resources) contract # DIR-SDD-196 making it easy for you to take advantage of American Messaging discounted rates.

American Messaging staffs an inbound queue of Customer Service Representatives (CSR’s) and off-line CSR’s for additional email and fax support. Telephone support hours are from 7:00am – 7:00pm (CST), with after hours assistance being available 24x7. Offline support (fax and email) is available from 7:00am to 5:00pm (CST). Supervisors are staffed 24x7 for your convenience. Should you require additional assistance, please contact your account executive.

PAGER WARRANTY AND MAINTENANCE

American Messaging extends to our customers the Manufacturer’s Consumer Warranties, where applicable, received by American Messaging and intended for the end user with respect to the paging equipment. For leased equipment, American Messaging will exchange paging units at no additional charge that are defective or stop working due to normal wear and tear.

As an option, we offer our Pager Replacement Program (PRP) at a low monthly rate per unit, which will expediently replace any pager that is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair for the prices listed below.

SHIPPING CHARGES

American Messaging deploys automated order fulfillment as soon as the State orders a new or replacement pager. As an element of our excellent Customer Service, a representative can initiate the shipping order and prioritize it to meet the State’s needs for the pager(s) to arrive at the desired location and time. Cut-off time for orders to be sent out the same day is 4:00pm, Central Standard Time, and American Messaging will pass on any charges that are incurred for shipping and handling. American Messaging will provide at no charge to the State return labels for leased equipment that must be returned.

TAXES AND FEES

Prices stated in this Proposal do not include state and local sales tax, and other applicable taxes, fees, charges, or pass-through assessments.

Please note: If any federal, state or local government tax, fee, duty, or surcharge (collectively referred to as a “Tax”) is required by applicable law to be collected from Customer by Carrier, then (a) Carrier shall bill Customer for such Tax, (b) Customer shall timely remit such Tax to Carrier, and (c) Carrier shall, where applicable, remit such collected Tax to the appropriate taxing authority. If Carrier does not collect a Tax because Customer has provided Carrier with evidence of exemption, and if such as an exemption is later determined to be inadequate, then, as between Carrier and Customer, Customer shall be liable for such uncollected Tax and for all interest, penalties and additions to Tax which are determined to be due with respect to such uncollected Tax

GUARANTEE/RETURN/MAINTENANCE POLICIES

Satisfaction Guarantee

You may terminate service for any reason within 30 days of activation without incurring an early termination fee. You will be responsible for all applicable fees, prorated access charges, taxes or other charges that accrued to your account through the termination date and equipment return date.

Return Policy

You may return or exchange any or all of your paging equipment for any reason within 30 days of purchase. You must return the equipment intact with all components (holster, battery, instructions, etc.). All components must be in like-new condition.

You must call the contact number stated on your customer receipt (or packing list) to make arrangements for the return of your equipment. Please also include the pager return form available at the bottom of the page.

At our discretion, we may decline your return or exchange, or charge you a fee, if you do not return all items or if items you return are damaged or require service. 

If you return and we accept your equipment within this period, we will refund your equipment purchase price. All cash or check transactions will be refunded by check. Checks take a minimum of four to six weeks for processing. Credit card transactions will be refunded to the credit card account used for the initial transaction. Should you have
questions, please contact your Account Manager.

Product Maintenance

If a pager we no longer distribute stops functioning, we will exchange the obsolete unit for a different pager of the new model/manufacturer we are currently distributing. This change-out will occur on an as-needed basis; and we will send the new pager with all needed documentation for the end user. As an alternative Statement of Guarantee, we will make available equivalent replacement parts for a product sold to the State for at least three (3) years after a product is discontinued.
