Senior Management Team

J. Roy Pottle Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Roy Pottle co-founded American Messaging in November 2005 and is responsible for its overall direction. He has over twenty years of experience in the telecommunications industry with particular knowledge of the wireless messaging and paging industry. From 1998 to 2004, Roy was Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Arch Wireless, Inc., predecessor to the largest wireless messaging company in the United States. During this period, Roy was one of three senior executives responsible for managing all aspects of the company. Prior to joining Arch Wireless, Roy was a senior executive for a publicly traded cable television company in Denver, CO and a banker to the media & telecommunications industries in New York and Toronto. Roy earned a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.

Dave Andersen President and Chief Operating Officer Dave Andersen joined American Messaging in July 2006 as President & Chief Operating Officer, and is responsible for the company’s sales and operations strategy including sales and marketing. Dave was also an integral part of the development and launch of IntelliGuard Systems (www.intelliguardsystems.com) a wholly owned subsidiary of American Messaging Services, LLC which provides emergency alert systems to college campuses using the same wireless technology utilized in life and death situations by hospitals and emergency responders. This revolutionary campus based wireless system allows colleges and universities to simultaneously alert students, faculty and staff in seconds during any incidence which causes imminent threats to campus safety. Dave has over twenty years of experience in the wireless industry with a strong background in both sales and operations. He was formerly the Western Division President at Arch Wireless; where he was responsible for all sales distribution, customer service, inventory, network operations and administrative functions. Dave earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin.

Jeffrey Chalmers Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Chalmers joined American Messaging in November 2005 and is American Messaging’s Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for finance, accounting, customer service, inventory fulfillment, and operations support. Jeff has twenty years of experience in the cellular and paging industry and was formerly Vice President, Operations for SBC Paging. Prior to joining SBC, Jeff held executive positions in the communications industry including Vice President of Finance and Vice President Sales/General Manager. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from St. Joseph’s College and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University.

Peter Barnett Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Peter Barnett joined American Messaging Services, LLC in October, 2010 and is American Messaging’s Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for all product development and the quality and reliability of infrastructure, devices, and service delivery. He was formerly the Chief Operating Officer for USA Mobility and has been focused on narrowband wireless products since 1980 where he has held several other positions including CIO at Arch Wireless. He proudly served in the Air Force in the late seventies and graduated from Nassau College with a Data Processing degree.
