Can I send
a message from my American Messaging 2-way pager
to other carriers 2-way pagers or text pagers?
Yes-You can send a text message to any American Messaging
or non-American Messaging, text* or 2-way pager*. Just enter
in their pager number in the wireless address and type
your message. If they have a 2-way pager they will be
able to reply to your message. |

How do I
send an SMS to a mobile phone?
You can enter any* 10- digit mobile number in the wireless
address field and send a message to an SMS enabled phone.

Can I get Info-on-Demand using my 2-way pager?
Yes, many companies and organizations are providing text-messaging
requests for information, like flight status, that
you can request right from your 2-way. Below is a useful
site; please be aware that some additional fees may
be required by the information service provider.
Datacast-On-Demand
American Airlines
Send a wireless email message from your
2-way pager to: Status@AAFlights.com. Leave the subject
line blank. In the body of the message type: "AAxxxx"
where 'xxxx' is the flight number. (Tip: create an address
book entry Called AAStatus, and add "Status@AAFlights.com
as the email address).
United Parcel Service (UPS)
Send an email message with your UPS Tracking Numbers to totaltrack@ups.com and you'll receive a reply message with your tracking sumary.
Note: If you have registered your pager on MyAirMail.com,
in "Your Account" preferences, make sure that you do
not have this feature enabled/checked, "Make all messages
sent from my pager appear to come from my computer's
eMail address".

Am I able
to receive personalized updates to my pager?
Yes! If you go to www.mobile.msn.com
or mobile.yahoo.com
you can add personalize alerts to your 2 way pager. Please
remember that unlike the free datacast on your pager,
the alerts from these services will go against your packet
count. If you register at MSN you need to select “other”
in the carrier selection area and then add your email
address as your 10digit# or name@myairmail.com (8175551212@myairmail.com).
If you go to mobile.yahoo.com click go and then under
device select Pager/Other devices. On step 2 you will
need to enter in your email address as your 10digit#
or name@myairmail (8175551212@myairmail.com).

How do I
forward my hotmail or yahoo email account to my 2-way
pager?
If you go to www.mobile.msn.com
or mobile.yahoo.com
you can forward your inbox to your pager (some fees may
apply)‡. To register at MSN you need to select “other”
in the carrier selection area and then add your email
address as your 10digit# or name@myairmail. ex (8175551212@myairmail.com).
In the next step you will be asked to type in a confirmation
that will be sent to your pager. You will need to choose
MSN Mobile Plus Edition to have your hotmail account
forwarded. For Yahoo mail to be forwarded you will need
to go to mobile.yahoo.com click go and then under device
select Pager/Other devices. On step 2 you will need to
enter in your email address as your 10digit# or name@myairmail
(8175551212@myairmail.com). The next step you will be
asked to type in a confirmation that will be sent to
your pager. You will have the option to limit the number
of emails that are forwarded to your pager a day. Please
remember that when a message is forwarded to your pager
it will go against your packet count.

How do
I set up my Outlook Express to forward my email to my
2-way pager?
From the TOOLS menu, select MESSAGE RULES and then click
MAIL. Under SELECT CONDITIONS FOR YOUR RULE, choose
the appropriate selection for your forwarding rule.
If you would like to forward all e-mail, select FOR
ALL MESSAGES. Under SELECT THE ACTIONS FOR YOUR RULE,
choose FORWARD TO PEOPLE. Under RULE DESCRIPTION, click
on PEOPLE. In the ADDRESS FIELD, you will need to enter
in your email address as your 10digit# or name@myairmail
(8175551212@myairmail.com) and click OK. You may type
a different name for the rule (pager) or leave the default
value. Click OK, and then click OK again. Please remember that when a message is forwarded to your pager it will go against your packet count.
Please note: Outlook Express must be open in order
to automatically forward e-mail. After setting up automatic
forwarding you should send a test message to verify
that your e-mail is forwarded correctly.

How do
I set up my Outlook to forward my email to my 2-way
pager?
To set up outlook to forward your emails to your pagers
you need to go to TOOLS>RULE WIZARD>NEW and then
choose CHECK MESSSAGES WHEN THEY ARRIVE then NEXT>
choose FORWARD IT TO PEOPLE OR DISTRIBUTION LIST >
Click on the PEOPLE OR DISTRIBUTION LIST it will take
you to your outlook address book. In the TO: field enter
in your email address as your 10digit# or name@myairmail
(8175551212@myairmail.com). NEXT> Choose which emails
you want to come to you (exceptions) NEXT> Name it
ex (Pager rules). MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE BOX TO TURN
THE RULE ON. Please remember that when a message is forwarded to your pager it will go against your packet count.
Please note: Outlook must be open in order to automatically forward e-mail. After setting up automatic forwarding you should send a test message to verify that your e-mail is forwarded correctly.

text messaging. Please check with the mobile carrier
if you have questions about their participation.
