Why would I use the software?
The Unication programming software is for American Messaging
customers who have Unication Alpha Elites and Unication
Alpha Gold’s and need to remove or add Datacast,
or program group calls on their own. If you currently
do not program your own pagers this software is not needed.
American Messaging will continue to program your pagers
for you prior to shipments.
Which software should I download?
To determine if you need the Unication Alpha Gold or Unication
Alpha Elite software please match up the pager you are
programming to the pictures below. If you still have additional
questions, please contact customer service at 888-247-7890.
How do I get the download?
Once you click on the download button you will be asked
to enter in a valid account number. Please make sure your
account number is in the following format or it will not
be able to be verified. Example XX-XXXXXX. If you are
unable to get your account validated please contact us
at 888-247-7890.

To ensure future programming of your Alpha Elite pagers
is successful we encourage you to uninstall any old PPS
versions you may already have saved on your computer.
Locate the file in which the software was originally saved (if saved using the default name it will be titled PF56AFLX)
Delete the Program and download the latest version
of the software
Can I use this to program Motorola pagers?
No, this software is for Unication pagers only. Please
use Motorola software with any of your current Motorola
pagers.
Is this software the only thing I need to program these pagers?
No, if you currently program your own Motorola Advisor
Elite or Advisor Gold pagers you have a cradle/jig that
you place the pager in to synch with your computer. The
same cradle/jig can be used for the Unication pager. Please
remember that you will need the Unication software though
to program the Unication pagers. If you do not currently
program your own pagers, please contact your sales representative.
Are there any system requirements?
Operating System:
Windows 98/2000/ XP.
Web Browser: IE5.5 and up
For optimal performance, install software on a PC using
Windows 98 or greater. Install requires the use of a 9-pin
serial port. This can be identified on the back of your
computer tower as a silver plug with 9 pins extending
outward. If your computer has more than one 9-pin serial
port, you will need to use whichever port is available.
Is there a manual for the software?
Below are the Programming manuals for the Alpha Gold and
Alpha Elite. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to download
these manuals.
